The 5th Annual CSLSR Meeting was held at
New Residence Hall, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec
August 13 & 14, 2010

CSLSR is a society bringing together Canadian researchers
at the undergraduate, graduate, professional and
post-graduate levels to promote research in all
life science disciplines, including Public/Community
Health. Uniting student researchers across the country,
CSLSR members have the unique opportunity to present
their research at an annual conference. Furthermore,
they have the chance to learn from a diversity of
backgrounds through the website, the quarterly newsletter,
and an annual publication. CSLSR also helps bring
students together with potential supervisors for
summer or graduate life sciences research work.

Sadly, I must announce that the CSLSR has decided to cease its operation as of October 25, 2011. We have had a great 6 years with successful annual conferences with renowned keynote speakers, and generous funding from CIHR and the like for events and our student research awards.
I have taken much pride in being involved in the CSLSR from the start and feel we've had much success in building a great organization for Canadian students involved in life science research. For those of you who have been with us for a few years, I hope you have gained something in your career through your involvement in the organization.
We will be donating the remainder of our funds to a studentship through the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. This coincides with our mission/mandate and our bylaw agreement.
We wish you the best of luck in your future careers in the life sciences.
Regards,
CSLSR President , on behalf of the executive committee
